Sara Dowd

Sara joined Triangle Physicians for Women in July 2016. She is a graduate of Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC. She completed her BSN at Winston Salem State University. She holds a MSN in Nurse-Midwifery from the East Carolina University.

During her thirteen years as a labor and delivery nurse she became passionate about women’s health. She is honored to provide midwifery care: developing relationships with women, educating and supporting women through out their lifespan, and being present through some of the most important moments in their lives.

In her free time, Sara enjoys crafting, sewing and knitting, and traveling as much as possible.

Sara Dowd was on time and very inviting. She asked lifestyle questions that I appreciated and gave great feedback. I didn’t feel rushed and she asked open ended questions. In the past, doctors come in, do the exam, then ask “do you have any questions?” Which I never had any. This time, Sara asked probing questions to things I didn’t even consider. She also gave me options I didn’t know about. First time filling out the survey, though I’ve been to the practice multiple times, because I really appreciated her service.

Provider showed great amounts of professionalism and empathy during the appointment. I’m very thankful they read my chart beforehand and made sure to make things as quick and comfortable as possible.
