Angie joined Triangle Physicians for Women in 2018. Angie’s passion for caring for women began while working in an OB/GYN office in Wilmington, NC. This desire to care for women led to her returning to school to obtain her BSN from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Angie began her nursing career at WakeMed Cary on labor and delivery. After eight years she decided to return to school to obtain her MSN in Nurse-Midwifery from East Carolina University.
Angie believes that women are strong and capable of great things. She believes in the process of natural birth and the human body’s ability to achieve it, understanding that there are times when medical interventions are necessary for the health of both the mother and the child. She feels strongly that the birth experience that each woman chooses should be supported. She believes that a family is how each woman defines it. Each of these families need to be made to feel a part of the birth process. To achieve this, Angie uses skillful and therapeutic communication, as well as patient advocacy.
In her free time Angie enjoys reading, watching women’s soccer and lacrosse, and traveling with her family.

Angie is such a pleasure to see. She’s very informative and gentle, and always provides insights on any concerns I may have.
Angie is very sincere. She genuinely listens to my concerns, no matter how ridiculous, and takes them seriously. She offers great advice and multiple paths of resolution.
Angie was an incredible midwife throughout my whole labor and delivery. She was very present and encouraging throughout the whole process. She read my birth plan and stuck to it 100%.
After being pregnant for 9 months, the thought of labor for the first time terrified me. I had an amazing labor and delivery nurse, but also mid-wife. Angie was not only very educational, but supportive. She also had a mid-wife in training with her, whom actually delivered my sweet Elli. Angie was there every step of the way making sure I was okay, and making sure everyone was doing what needed to be done. If I ever deliver here in North Carolina again, I would use Triangle all over again, and as well as Angie if the opportunity was given.
Angie is very gentle and walks through everything which makes an uncomfortable situation more comfortable.
Angela Blake was kind and communicated well. I was nervous but she immediately made me feel like I was in good hands.
Angela is amazing! I really get nervous coming to these appointments but she definitely does well talking me through everything and making me feel normal. She is the best!

Regular mammograms are recommended for women starting at age 40, or earlier if there is a family history of breast cancer.
Breast cancer can occur at any age, so it's important to know your risk factors and talk to your healthcare provider about when to start screening.
Self-exams are also an important part of breast health and should be performed regularly.
Breastfeeding, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol consumption can help lower your risk of developing breast cancer.
