Scheduling
Triangle Physicians for Women is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  You can schedule appointments at any time by calling us at 919-678-6900.  If you get a voicemail, please leave a message and we’ll return your call as soon as possible.  We’ll be happy to schedule an appointment for you, whether it is your first visit or a return visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, and bring your health insurance card with you. Please have medical records (recent labwork, X-rays, or other doctor’s office notes) sent to our office before your appointment or bring them with you.

Prior Authorization/Precertification
If your insurance plan requires an authorization before your visit, please make certain that this has been obtained before your appointment and that the referral form has been sent to our office or bring it with you. Otherwise, your appointment will be delayed while we wait for authorization. If we cannot obtain authorization, you will be asked to sign a waiver of liability stating that you will be responsible for paying for your office visit and procedures.

We do our best to make sure that in-office and outpatient procedures are precertified. If you know that your insurance plan requires precertification, please tell us at the time the procedure is scheduled. Deliveries are performed at WakeMed Cary Hospital right across the street from our offices.  Other procedures are performed at WakeMed Cary Hospital and Rex Hospital, if required by insurance.

Lab Work
All labwork will be drawn and processed at Lab Corp, which has an in-office draw station. All billing for labwork will be processed by Lab Corp and you will receive a separate bill for these services.

If your preference lab is LAB ONE, please make sure that you call the number on your insurance card to have the proper forms sent to you, prior to your appointment, so you can bring them with you. If you do not obtain the proper forms or lab kits, you will be responsible for the payment of labwork.

Financial Policy
At Triangle Physicians for Women we accept many forms of health care insurance and will work with your plan to submit your health care charges for coverage. Your responsibility is to make sure that your plan will cover your visit in the way that you expect it to. Once you are a patient and receiving care from Triangle Physicians for Women, we will work with your health insurance company to ensure coverage of procedures before we perform them.

Co-payment and deductible portions are expected at the time of service. That means that we will contact your insurance company while you are here and determine your portion of the bill, then you will need to pay that part on the day of your visit.

We do not file secondary insurance. You will be given the necessary papers to file with your insurance carrier.

If you have questions about these policies or are unsure about your coverage, please contact us at 919-678-6900 for more information.
